Hi there, I’m Angie Palmer!
I am Board Certified in holistic nutrition and also a nutritional therapy practitioner and this is my story.
They say your health patterns are shaped as an infant or toddler, and I can attest to that. I still remember believing I was fat at 3 years old, after my 8-months pregnant aunt told me we had the same size bellies. From as early as 7 years old, I had disordered patterns around food and exercise, worsening by 13.
I struggled with bulimia, anorexia, and exercise bulimia, which became a drug addiction to avoid the vicious cycle of having to eat. This relationship got better and worse off and on, and I developed chronic pain in my 20s. Many years of not being able to manage this condition lead me to opiate addiction and false menopause at 36.
At 40 I could no longer live in this cycle and found a trainer and health coach. I had been a vegetarian for 18 years and after learning that my diet was a big part of my pain condition, I got off of gluten and dairy, and begrudgingly started eating pastured meat. Eating real food healed me.
It’s tragic how industrialization has removed most of health benefits and nourishment from our food. Because of my story, my biggest passion is sharing what I’ve learned with moms and families and to teach kids wellness. As Stephen Ritz says “It’s easier to raise healthy kids than heal broken adults”.
Reversing the astronomical increase in chronic diseases IS MY WHY. I know it’s possible, because I defied the odds of my own prognosis. Now I want to help you and your family achieve and maintain optimum health and wellness with real food nutrition.
I am a nutritional therapy practitioner, Board Certified In Holistic Nutrition by the National Association of Nutrition Professionals.
SOLTA kitchen certified with School of Lunch Training Academy.
I’m on the board of an after-school program (Son Shine Haven) and volunteer as a cooking instructor. I have taught many kids how to cook and love real food— which is a huge passion of mine.
I struggled with chronic pain most of my life. Now, overcoming it, I can do 122 pull-ups from 0 with band assist! This is a huge accomplishment for me - In the thick of my chronic pain I could not do a single push up, pull-up, or plank, let alone open a door myself.
I am an experienced cooking and nutrition educator for children of to all ages. I feel a deep calling to save our youth from the effects of poor nutrition and processed foods including ADD, ADHD, obesity and diabetes.
Reversing the astronomical increase in chronic diseases IS MY WHY. I know it’s possible, because I’ve done it for myself. Now, I want to help you and your family achieve and maintain optimum health and wellness with real food nutrition.
Let’s take this journey together.
I know it can be overwhelming when you don’t know where to start or when it feels like nothing has worked. Here’s the good news--The journey that will finally make a difference starts right here.
